Description

Easy baked ham and cheese mozzarella sticks that are crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, and perfect as a quick snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 8 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 8 thin slices deli ham
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray
  • Marinara sauce for serving


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wrap each mozzarella stick tightly with a slice of ham.
  3. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and paprika.
  4. Coat each wrapped mozzarella stick in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  5. Place on the prepared baking sheet and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, turning once, until golden and crispy.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving with marinara sauce.

Notes

  • Freeze breaded sticks for 20 minutes before baking to prevent cheese from leaking.
  • Use low-moisture mozzarella for best results.
