Description
Easy baked ham and cheese mozzarella sticks that are crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, and perfect as a quick snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 8 mozzarella cheese sticks
- 8 thin slices deli ham
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Cooking spray or olive oil spray
- Marinara sauce for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wrap each mozzarella stick tightly with a slice of ham.
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and paprika.
- Coat each wrapped mozzarella stick in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
- Place on the prepared baking sheet and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, turning once, until golden and crispy.
- Let cool slightly before serving with marinara sauce.
Notes
- Freeze breaded sticks for 20 minutes before baking to prevent cheese from leaking.
- Use low-moisture mozzarella for best results.
- Serve immediately while hot and melty.
