Description

Bang Bang Chicken Fried Rice is a flavorful fusion dish combining crispy chicken, savory fried rice, and a creamy sweet-spicy Bang Bang sauce for a satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice (cold)
  • 1 cup chicken breast, cooked and diced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to make the Bang Bang sauce. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add beaten eggs and scramble until just set. Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. Add remaining oil to the pan, then sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. Add peas and carrots, cooking for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Add cooked rice, breaking up clumps, and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes.
  7. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  8. Add chicken and scrambled eggs back to the pan and mix well.
  9. Turn off heat and drizzle Bang Bang sauce over the rice. Toss gently to combine.
  10. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.

  • Use day-old rice for best texture.
  • Adjust sauce spiciness by increasing or reducing sriracha.
