Description
These Bourbon-Glazed Brisket Bites are tender, smoky chunks of beef brisket coated in a sweet and tangy bourbon glaze. Perfect as a party appetizer or a hearty snack, they combine rich barbecue flavor with a subtle whiskey kick.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef brisket, trimmed and cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1 cup bourbon whiskey
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Season brisket cubes with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear brisket cubes on all sides until browned, then transfer to a baking dish.
- In a small saucepan, combine bourbon, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Pour glaze over the seared brisket cubes and cover tightly with foil.
- Bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until brisket is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
- Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
- Serve warm as bite-sized appetizers with toothpicks or over mashed potatoes for a meal.
Notes
- For a deeper flavor, marinate brisket cubes in the bourbon glaze overnight before baking.
- You can also cook this in a slow cooker on low for 6–8 hours.
- Use a smoky barbecue sauce for a richer taste.
- Great for game days or holiday gatherings.
