Description

These Bourbon-Glazed Brisket Bites are tender, smoky chunks of beef brisket coated in a sweet and tangy bourbon glaze. Perfect as a party appetizer or a hearty snack, they combine rich barbecue flavor with a subtle whiskey kick.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef brisket, trimmed and cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 cup bourbon whiskey
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Season brisket cubes with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear brisket cubes on all sides until browned, then transfer to a baking dish.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine bourbon, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Pour glaze over the seared brisket cubes and cover tightly with foil.
  5. Bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until brisket is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
  6. Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  7. Serve warm as bite-sized appetizers with toothpicks or over mashed potatoes for a meal.

Notes

  • For a deeper flavor, marinate brisket cubes in the bourbon glaze overnight before baking.
  • You can also cook this in a slow cooker on low for 6–8 hours.
  • Use a smoky barbecue sauce for a richer taste.
  • Great for game days or holiday gatherings.
