Brisket Mac and Cheese is the ultimate comfort food — a rich, creamy, and cheesy macaroni dish topped with tender, smoky brisket for a hearty, flavor-packed meal that’s perfect for family dinners or gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked brisket, shredded or chopped
  • 16 oz elbow macaroni
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
  • 2 tbsp butter (for topping, melted)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook macaroni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  4. Gradually add milk and cream, whisking constantly until thickened and smooth.
  5. Stir in cheddar, Monterey Jack, and mozzarella cheeses until melted and creamy.
  6. Add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  7. Combine cooked macaroni and cheese sauce in a large bowl. Fold in chopped brisket.
  8. Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  9. If desired, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle evenly over the top.
  10. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
  11. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  • Use leftover smoked brisket for best flavor.
  • Substitute any cheese blend you prefer — gouda or pepper jack work great.
