Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked brisket, shredded or chopped
- 16 oz elbow macaroni
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 4 cups whole milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
- 2 tbsp butter (for topping, melted)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook macaroni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
- Gradually add milk and cream, whisking constantly until thickened and smooth.
- Stir in cheddar, Monterey Jack, and mozzarella cheeses until melted and creamy.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Combine cooked macaroni and cheese sauce in a large bowl. Fold in chopped brisket.
- Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish.
- If desired, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle evenly over the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

- Use leftover smoked brisket for best flavor.
- Substitute any cheese blend you prefer — gouda or pepper jack work great.
