Description
Caramel Apple Bark is a deliciously simple fall-inspired treat made with crisp apple slices, creamy caramel, and melted chocolate. It’s the perfect no-bake dessert that captures all the flavors of a caramel apple with an easy-to-share twist.
Ingredients
- 2 medium apples, thinly sliced
- 1 cup semisweet or milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil or butter (for melting chocolate)
- Parchment paper (for lining)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on the parchment paper, overlapping slightly if needed.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil in 20-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
- Drizzle or spread the melted chocolate evenly over the apples.
- Warm the caramel sauce slightly if thick, then drizzle it over the chocolate-covered apples.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts and sea salt (if using).
- Place the tray in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes, or until the bark is firm.
- Break into pieces and enjoy immediately or store in the fridge until serving.
Notes
- Use Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples for the best crispness and tart flavor.
- Best served the same day, as apples may release moisture over time.
- Try white chocolate or dark chocolate for variety.
- For a nut-free option, use pretzel bits or toffee pieces instead of nuts.
