Description

A rich and creamy cheesecake topped with caramelized bananas for a decadent, tropical-inspired dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of the pan to form a crust.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
  4. Stir in sour cream and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly. Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  7. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add banana slices, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until bananas are golden and caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  8. Top the chilled cheesecake with caramelized bananas just before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a drizzle of caramel sauce before serving.
  • Use firm, ripe bananas to prevent mushiness.
  • Allow cheesecake to chill thoroughly for best texture.
