Description

A hearty and comforting dish featuring tender seasoned steak bites served over fluffy rice and smothered in a rich, creamy melted cheese sauce. Perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. Season the steak pieces with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces and sear for 3–5 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  6. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, then stir in the cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted and smooth.
  7. Return the cooked steak to the skillet and toss to coat in the cheese sauce.
  8. Serve the cheesy steak mixture over warm rice and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated cheese for the best melting and flavor.
  • Ribeye adds extra richness, while sirloin is leaner.
  • Add sautéed onions or bell peppers for extra flavor.
  • For a spicy kick, include a pinch of chili flakes or hot sauce.
  • This dish pairs well with a simple green salad or steamed vegetables.
