Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 4 sandwich buns, toasted
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the butter, then pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, forming the Alfredo sauce.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Add the shredded chicken to the sauce and stir until evenly coated and heated through.
- Toast the buns lightly and spoon the creamy chicken mixture onto each bottom bun.
- Top with chopped parsley if desired, then cover with the top bun and serve warm.
