Ingredients
- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes, scraping up any browned bits.
- Add heavy cream and Italian seasoning, stirring to combine. Let it simmer gently.
- Stir in the cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the creamy cheese sauce over it. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Use freshly grated cheese for the smoothest sauce.
- Chicken thighs can be used for a juicier result.
- Add mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
- If the sauce is too thick, thin it with a splash of milk or broth.
- Serve with pasta, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables.
