Description
Cinnamon Roll Muffins are soft, fluffy muffins swirled with a buttery cinnamon-sugar filling and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze, delivering all the flavors of classic cinnamon rolls in an easy muffin form.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease or line a 12-cup muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir just until combined; do not overmix.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter. Add a small spoonful of softened butter and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over it. Top with remaining batter.
- Use a toothpick or knife to gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow muffins to cool slightly.
- Whisk powdered sugar with milk to form a glaze and drizzle over warm muffins before serving.
Notes
- Do not overmix the batter to keep muffins tender.
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts for extra texture.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Warm slightly before serving for best flavor.
