Description

Cinnamon Roll Muffins are soft, fluffy muffins swirled with a buttery cinnamon-sugar filling and topped with a sweet vanilla glaze, delivering all the flavors of classic cinnamon rolls in an easy muffin form.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease or line a 12-cup muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir just until combined; do not overmix.
  5. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  6. Fill each muffin cup halfway with batter. Add a small spoonful of softened butter and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over it. Top with remaining batter.
  7. Use a toothpick or knife to gently swirl the cinnamon mixture into the batter.
  8. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow muffins to cool slightly.
  10. Whisk powdered sugar with milk to form a glaze and drizzle over warm muffins before serving.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to keep muffins tender.
  • Add chopped pecans or walnuts for extra texture.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Warm slightly before serving for best flavor.
