Description
This Copycat Taco Bell Quesadilla Sauce is a creamy, tangy, and slightly spicy sauce that perfectly mimics the flavor of Taco Bell’s beloved quesadillas. Made with simple pantry ingredients, it’s the ultimate condiment for tacos, burritos, quesadillas, or even burgers and fries.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons pickled jalapeño slices
- 1 tablespoon pickled jalapeño juice
- 3/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a food processor or blender, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, pickled jalapeños, and jalapeño juice.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Add sugar, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne (if using), and salt. Blend again until fully incorporated.
- Taste and adjust seasonings to your preference—add more jalapeño juice for extra tang or more cayenne for spice.
- Transfer the sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to let the flavors meld.
- Use as a spread for quesadillas, dipping sauce for nachos, or drizzle over tacos and burritos.
Notes
- For a smokier flavor, replace paprika with smoked paprika or add a dash of chipotle powder.
- Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 7 days in a sealed container.
- For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
- This sauce also works as a spicy sandwich spread or a topping for grilled chicken.
