Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 recommended)
- 1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 6 burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles (optional toppings)
- Mayonnaise, ketchup, or ranch dressing (optional spreads)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ranch seasoning, cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Mix gently until just combined – do not overwork the meat.
- Divide mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into burger patties.
- Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates or pan.
- Cook burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Toast buns lightly on the grill or in a skillet.
- Assemble burgers with desired toppings and condiments.
- Serve hot with fries, chips, or salad.
Notes
- For extra indulgence, top with more cheddar cheese and an extra strip of bacon.
- Ground chicken or turkey can be substituted for a lighter version.
