Description

Creamy Alfredo, Cheesy Mac, and Fresh Broccoli is a comforting pasta dish that combines rich Alfredo sauce, classic cheesy macaroni, and tender broccoli for a creamy, satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook macaroni according to package instructions.
  2. Add broccoli florets during the last 2 minutes of cooking, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and milk and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  6. Season with salt, black pepper, and nutmeg if using.
  7. Stir in cooked macaroni, broccoli, and cheddar cheese until well combined and creamy.
  8. Cook for 2–3 minutes until cheese is fully melted and everything is heated through.
  9. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, add an extra splash of milk.
  • Grilled chicken or shrimp can be added for protein.
