Dill Pickle Parmesan Chicken is a tangy, juicy, and flavorful dish made with chicken marinated in zesty dill pickle juice, coated with Parmesan and seasonings, then baked or air-fried to crispy perfection. It’s the perfect balance of savory, salty, and sour — a must-try for pickle lovers!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 cup dill pickle juice (from a jar of pickles)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried dill (or 1 tablespoon fresh chopped dill)
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
- Optional garnish: chopped dill, pickle slices, or lemon wedges
Instructions
- Place chicken in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour pickle juice over it. Marinate for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours in the refrigerator.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or air fryer to 380°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease an air fryer basket.
- Remove chicken from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels. (Discard marinade.)
- In a small bowl, mix Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, paprika, and black pepper.
- Brush chicken lightly with olive oil or butter, then coat evenly with the Parmesan mixture on both sides.
- For Baking: Place chicken on the baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden and cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).
- For Air Frying: Cook for 16–18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh dill, pickle slices, or a squeeze of lemon for extra brightness.
