A hearty and comforting hamburger rice casserole made with seasoned ground beef, tender rice, and melted cheese. This easy one-dish dinner is perfect for busy weeknights and family meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup uncooked long grain white rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in uncooked rice, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
  5. Transfer mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 35-40 minutes, until rice is tender.
  7. Remove foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake uncovered for another 5-10 minutes until cheese is melted.
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
