Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 12 slider buns
- 6 slices provolone or Swiss cheese, halved
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Toss shredded chicken in the maple glaze until evenly coated.
- Slice slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
- Layer glazed chicken evenly over the buns, then top with cheese slices.
- Place top halves of the buns over the chicken and cheese.
- Brush melted butter over the tops and sprinkle with thyme or Italian seasoning.
- Cover with foil and bake for 12-15 minutes, until cheese is melted. Uncover and bake an additional 3-5 minutes to toast tops.
- Serve warm and pull apart to enjoy.
