Description
Flat Ground Beef Enchiladas are easy, layered-style enchiladas made with seasoned ground beef, tortillas, enchilada sauce, and melted cheese—perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
- 500 g ground halal beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup red enchilada sauce
- 6 small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onion and sauté until softened.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in half of the enchilada sauce and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Lightly grease a baking dish and spread a thin layer of enchilada sauce on the bottom.
- Layer tortillas flat in the dish, top with beef mixture and cheese. Repeat layers.
- Finish with remaining enchilada sauce and cheese on top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve warm.

- Flat enchiladas are layered like a casserole for easy serving.
- You can add beans or corn for extra texture.
