Rich, fudgy chocolate brownies topped with a creamy coffee-flavored frosting, perfect for coffee and dessert lovers.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup (40 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
- 1 tablespoon hot water
- 1/4 cup (60 g) unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)
- 1 1/2 cups (180 g) powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter and mix with granulated sugar until combined.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
- Dissolve instant coffee in hot water and mix into the batter.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes.
- Allow brownies to cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat softened butter with powdered sugar, milk, and remaining coffee until smooth.
- Spread frosting evenly over cooled brownies, slice, and serve.
Notes
- Do not overbake to keep brownies fudgy.
