Description
A rich and savory dish combining tender garlic-seared steak with cheese tortellini tossed in a creamy garlic butter sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin steak, sliced into strips
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb cheese tortellini
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak strips with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
- Add the cooked tortellini and steak back to the skillet. Toss until fully coated in the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra richness, add a splash of white wine to the sauce before adding cream.
- Ribeye or New York strip can be substituted for sirloin.
- Use refrigerated tortellini for best texture.
