Description

A rich and savory dish combining tender garlic-seared steak with cheese tortellini tossed in a creamy garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, sliced into strips
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb cheese tortellini
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak strips with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
  6. Add the cooked tortellini and steak back to the skillet. Toss until fully coated in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add a splash of white wine to the sauce before adding cream.
  • Ribeye or New York strip can be substituted for sirloin.
  • Use refrigerated tortellini for best texture.
