Ingredients
- 1 prepared pie crust (9-inch)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
- Melt butter and chocolate chips together until smooth.
- Whisk granulated sugar and brown sugar into the melted chocolate mixture.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Gently fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
- Fold in nuts if using.
- Pour brownie batter into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until edges are set but center is still slightly gooey.
- Cool for 20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Do not overbake to maintain a gooey center.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
- Store leftovers covered at room temperature or refrigerated.
