A gourmet twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, featuring fresh blueberries, creamy brie, and melty mozzarella layered between buttery, golden bread slices.
Ingredients
- 8 slices artisan bread (such as sourdough or brioche)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- 2 tbsp honey or blueberry preserves (optional)
- Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place 4 slices, butter-side down, on a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Layer brie slices, shredded mozzarella, and a handful of blueberries on each slice of bread. Drizzle lightly with honey or spread preserves if using.
- Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
- Cook for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
