Description
A Mediterranean-inspired white pizza topped with creamy roasted garlic sauce, fresh spinach, feta cheese, and mozzarella — a flavorful Greek twist on a classic favorite.
Ingredients
- 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 head garlic, roasted
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/2 cup baby spinach leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley or dill, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and prepare a pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Cut the top off the garlic head, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 25–30 minutes until soft and golden.
- Once roasted, squeeze the garlic cloves into a bowl and mash them into a paste.
- Mix roasted garlic paste with ricotta cheese, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and oregano to form the white sauce.
- Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface and transfer to your baking surface.
- Spread the garlic-ricotta sauce evenly over the base, leaving about 1 inch of crust.
- Top with spinach, red onion, mozzarella, and feta cheese.
- Sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes if desired.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley or dill, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, drizzle olive oil over the finished pizza before serving.
- You can substitute ricotta with cream cheese for a richer texture.
- Add olives or sun-dried tomatoes for more authentic Greek taste.
- Ensure the garlic is well-roasted for a mild, sweet flavor rather than sharp.
