Description
Loaded Philly Cheesesteak Fries are crispy fries topped with tender beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and melted cheese, inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak sandwich.
Ingredients
- 700 g frozen French fries
- 450 g beef sirloin or flank steak (thinly sliced)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 medium onion (sliced)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 200 g shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
- 100 g cheese sauce (optional)
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and bake French fries according to package instructions until golden and crispy.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced beef, season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add bell peppers and onions and sauté until soft and lightly caramelized.
- Return cooked beef to the skillet and toss with the vegetables.
- Spread cooked fries on a serving platter or baking tray.
- Top fries evenly with the beef and vegetable mixture.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top and drizzle with cheese sauce if using.
- Place under the broiler for 3–5 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use halal-certified beef to keep the dish halal-friendly.
- For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms.
- Serve immediately for best texture.
