Description

Mac and Cheese Meatloaf is a comforting, hearty dish that combines juicy seasoned meatloaf with a creamy macaroni and cheese center for a fun and satisfying family-style meal.


Ingredients

  • 500 g ground halal beef
  • 1 cup cooked macaroni pasta
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cooked macaroni with milk and shredded cheddar cheese. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and half of the ketchup.
  4. Lightly grease a loaf pan with olive oil.
  5. Press half of the meat mixture into the bottom of the loaf pan.
  6. Spoon the mac and cheese evenly over the meat layer.
  7. Cover with remaining meat mixture and gently press to seal.
  8. Spread remaining ketchup over the top.
  9. Bake for 50–55 minutes, or until fully cooked.
  10. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use freshly cooked macaroni for best creaminess.
  • Letting the meatloaf rest helps it hold its shape.
  • You can add mozzarella for extra cheese pull.
