Description
A quick and flavorful Mongolian-inspired dish made with savory ground beef, tender noodles, and a rich garlic soy sauce.
Ingredients
- 250g ground beef
- 200g noodles (spaghetti or lo mein)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, and hoisin sauce. Mix well.
- Add the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Add cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
Notes
- Use low-sodium soy sauce to control salt levels.
- You can add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli for extra nutrition.
- Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing brown sugar.
- Serve with chili flakes for added heat.
