Description

Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles is a quick and flavorful stir-fry dish made with savory-sweet Mongolian-style sauce, tender noodles, and seasoned ground beef, perfect for an easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz lo mein or spaghetti noodles
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, and cornstarch; set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks; drain excess fat.
  5. Add garlic and ginger to the beef and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour the sauce into the skillet and simmer for 3–4 minutes until thickened.
  7. Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss until evenly coated.
  8. Stir in red pepper flakes if using.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use low-sodium soy sauce to control salt levels.
  • You can add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli.
  • Adjust sweetness by reducing or increasing brown sugar.
