Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz lo mein or spaghetti noodles
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 3 green onions, sliced
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, and cornstarch; set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks; drain excess fat.
- Add garlic and ginger to the beef and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet and simmer for 3–4 minutes until thickened.
- Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss until evenly coated.
- Stir in red pepper flakes if using.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.

- Use low-sodium soy sauce to control salt levels.
- You can add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli.
