Description
One Pot Creamy Garlic Pasta is a simple yet indulgent dish made entirely in one pot. With tender pasta cooked in a rich, garlicky cream sauce, it’s a quick and comforting meal that’s perfect for weeknights — minimal cleanup, maximum flavor!
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups vegetable or chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 250 g (8 oz) spaghetti or fettuccine
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot or deep skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant, but not browned.
- Pour in the broth, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir and bring to a gentle boil.
- Add the pasta directly into the liquid and stir to prevent sticking.
- Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 10–12 minutes or until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the Parmesan cheese and heavy cream.
- Toss until the sauce is creamy and coats the pasta evenly. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for 2 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and chili flakes before serving.
Notes
- For added protein, toss in cooked chicken, shrimp, or mushrooms.
- Use whole milk for a richer texture or low-fat milk for a lighter version.
- Stir frequently to prevent the pasta from sticking or burning.
- Leftovers reheat well with a splash of milk to loosen the sauce.
