Description

A savory turkey and cranberry crescent ring is an easy holiday appetizer made with flaky crescent rolls wrapped around creamy cheese, tender turkey, and sweet-tart cranberry sauce, baked until golden and festive.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked turkey (chopped or shredded)
  • 3/4 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 6 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange crescent roll triangles in a circle on the baking sheet with wide ends overlapping in the center and points facing outward.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, garlic powder, thyme, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the wide ends of the crescent dough.
  5. Top with turkey, cranberry sauce, and shredded cheese.
  6. Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling and tuck underneath to form a ring.
  7. Brush the dough with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Cool for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley if desired, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use leftover Thanksgiving turkey for best flavor.
