Description
Slow Cooker Mississippi Mini Sausages Delight is a crowd-pleasing appetizer made with cocktail sausages simmered in a rich, tangy, buttery sauce with ranch and pepperoncini flavors — perfect for game days, potlucks, or easy entertaining.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs cocktail sausages (such as Little Smokies)
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 6-8 pepperoncini peppers
- 2 tbsp pepperoncini juice (from the jar)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Place the cocktail sausages into the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the sausages.
- Add pepperoncini peppers and drizzle in the pepperoncini juice.
- Sprinkle brown sugar, black pepper, and garlic powder on top.
- Slice the butter into pieces and place evenly over the mixture.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or on HIGH for 1.5–2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Once heated through and the sauce is thickened, switch the slow cooker to the WARM setting for serving.
- Serve directly from the slow cooker or transfer to a serving dish with toothpicks for easy appetizers.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or BBQ sauce.
- Use turkey or beef cocktail sausages as a lighter alternative.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
