Description

Smashburger Quesadillas combine the juicy, crispy edges of a classic smashburger with melty cheese and tortillas, finished with a burger-style sauce for a fun, indulgent fusion meal.


Ingredients

  • 450 g ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 200 g shredded cheddar cheese
  • 100 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup diced pickles
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard to create the burger sauce. Set aside.
  2. Season ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add beef to the skillet and smash it flat, cooking until browned and crispy on one side.
  5. Flip the beef, cook for another 1–2 minutes, then break into small pieces. Remove from heat.
  6. Wipe skillet clean and melt butter over medium heat.
  7. Place one tortilla in the skillet and sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  8. Add cooked beef, diced pickles, and onions evenly over the cheese.
  9. Drizzle with burger sauce, then top with another tortilla.
  10. Cook until the bottom tortilla is golden and crispy, then flip and cook the other side.
  11. Remove from skillet, slice into wedges, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use halal-certified beef to keep the recipe halal.
  • Press tortillas gently when cooking for even crisping.
  • Add jalapeños for a spicy version.
  • Serve with extra sauce on the side.
