Description

A creamy layered dessert made with vanilla pudding, fresh strawberries, ripe bananas, and cookies, creating a dreamy combination of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 box vanilla wafers or butter cookies
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, cold milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and thickened, about 2 minutes.
  2. Fold in half of the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
  3. In a trifle dish or glass bowl, layer vanilla wafers at the bottom.
  4. Add a layer of sliced bananas and strawberries.
  5. Spoon pudding mixture over the fruit and spread evenly.
  6. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with pudding on top.
  7. Spread the remaining whipped topping as the final layer.
  8. Top with additional strawberries, banana slices, and a few cookies for garnish.
  9. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

  • Best served within 24 hours to prevent bananas from browning.
  • For extra flavor, drizzle with a little strawberry syrup before serving.
  • You can substitute vanilla wafers with shortbread or graham crackers.
